We love anemones. They have a simple beauty and, despite the best efforts of growers, have a short season - and their scarcity makes them even more special.
Lindsey chose anemones as our wedding flowers and this time of year, with Valentine's just round the corner, the sight of some bunches for sale is irresistible. This year there haven't been many around: maybe they got stuck under the snow.
So when I spotted some for sale I bought the whole stock. Anemones come in a variety of colours - purple, red, white, even green - but these were all the same gorgeous purple. Displayed in a jug decorated with, yes, more anemones they look stunning.
