Another wet day without much light but we managed to squeeze in a local walk - and managed to avoid most of the short, sharp showers. We parked next to the river in Abbeystead and walked up the steep hill through the woods. All of the 'footpaths' were under water and impassable so, on this occasion, we stuck to the quiet lane which runs up to the Trough Road on the moors.
