We're having some great weather for walking at the moment - cold, bright days with beautiful afternoon light. We've had an eye on Hampsfell, just north of Grange-over-Sands, for some time. After a fairly quick ascent it gives good panoramic views across the whole area.
Even before getting to the summit, we enjoyed good views of Morecambe Bay to the south, the Lakeland mountains to the north and the peaks of the Yorkshire Dales to the east.
