One of our favourite, go to places, during COVID-19 has been Yewtree Barn. This wonderful antique and reclamation centre is not too far away from us, close to Cartmel and Grange-over-Sands.
The Barn sells an eclectic mix of reclaimed building materials, antiques and garden furniture. There is also an excellent selection of gifts, toiletries and books. Harry's Café serves delicious snacks and lunches. When the weather is good, or at least when it isn't raining, there's plenty of outdoor seating.
Over the last year or so we have picked up some interesting pieces of furniture and ceramics, including a library stair, small oak bookcase and a couple of oil paintings. There is always something unusual and different in stock each time we go; the stock changes regularly, which is excellent as we visit fairly often!
There are plenty of interesting items for the garden, as well, including statuary, garden furniture and garden ornaments. Basically everything you can think of is at Yewtree Barn and many things you've never thought of!
We visited last week for lunch and a mooch around. An added bonus was bumping into some very old friends, we haven't seen for years.
