She Stoops to Conquer

After 18 months of no live theatre, we were absolutely delighted to find that the Rain or Shine Theatre Company was performing Oliver Goldsmith's She Stoops to Conquer at Lytham Hall.  

The performance was postponed from summer 2020.

She Stoops is one of our favourite plays, if not our absolute favourite. We've seen it performed many times and didn't expect this performance to be fantastic. We were just looking forward to some theatre. But, it was a wonderful performance which kept us absolutely gripped. The acting was first rate. We loved it so much that we're considering booking another performance at a different location.

Lytham Hall was the perfect backdrop, and we enjoyed a picnic before the performance.

The performance certainly lived up to its description of the play:

"Set against the increasingly chaotic proceedings of one very long night, She Stoops to Conquer is a delightful romantic romp filled with ludicrous misunderstanding, mischief and mayhem."
