A quick overnighter at Dryburgh Abbey hotel in the Scottish Borders to recharge our batteries. The hotel is next to the ruins of the ancient abbey on the River Tweed and only a short distance from St Boswells, a charming little town with some interesting independent shops.
Although the abbey ruins were open, they were undergoing maintenance work which meant that they were mostly inaccessible.
We had a lovely relaxing stroll along the river with only a couple of anglers for company.
