After a long, wet winter we are now enjoying a period of dry, bright weather. And for us that means more walking in the sunshine. In the past few days we have enjoyed three walks which have definitely stretched our legs.
Our first walk was at our old favourite, Farlton Fell. It was early evening and the grykes - the gaps in the limestone pavements - were especially pronounced by the low Sun.
Not far away, our second walk was at Dalton Crags. A more wooded area, there was plenty of moss which no doubt has thrived during the unusually wet winter that we are just emerging from.
Thirdly, on Sunday, we walked up to the impressive Stock Ghyll Force from Ambleside. On the way up there are a few spots where the fast tumbling waters can be seen.
