We spent last weekend in Sussex, taken there to attend our niece’s graduation ceremony in Brighton. We stayed in Rottingdean, a charming village with literary connections, a few miles from Brighton.
Having not been to Sussex for several years, we enjoyed visiting a few of our favourite places. But first we explored Rottingdean.

Finally we stopped off at Charleston Farm House, the country retreat of the Bloomsbury group of writers and artists which included Virgina and Leonard Woolf, Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and John Maynard Keynes.
With so many lovely places to visit, we'll definitely be making a return trip this summer.
