On Saturday we popped over to Gargrave for a Bookfair. We decided to make a day of it and include some delicious food venues. Our selection included Keelham Farm Shop, near Skipton; the Courtyard Dairy, near Settle and Buon Vino, also near Settle. We hoped to get to Betty's in Ilkley, but spent too long chatting to friends at the Bookfair!
Keelham has such a wonderful selection of vegetables, as well as interesting pickles and bread. We left laden with heritage tomatoes, yellow courgettes and lots of fruit. The fridge is now full to overflowing and we're planning as many meals as we can.
This cheese was as close as we came to Jubilee celebrations this weekend! I thought it was very clever and imaginative. A product of the Courtyard Dairy near Settle, where they sell the most amazing selection of cheese. We made a selection including pecorino truffle and garlic yarg. Very yummy! Some chutneys and savoury biscuits completed our purchases here.
Whilst Chris browsed the wine selection at Buon Vino I sat in the sun with a coffee, enjoying the view of Ingleborough and the limestone outcrops south of Settle.
