Today’s weather was perfect for a walk with fine views across the Langdales. The late afternoon Sun added a warmth to the hills, in sharp contrast to the actual temperature which was just above freezing. Our walk took us through the grounds to St Margaret’s church and then a return through the woods.

There has been heavy rain in the Lakes and on our return journey we passed Newby Bridge where the water was definitely higher than normal.
