The weather over the Easter weekend was good and we rounded off a north Cumbria day out with an hour-long walk round Talkin Tarn near Brampton. After a long winter it was great to get out to fill our lungs with fresh air and feel our limbs loosening.
The water was still and the sky dramatic. As we walked round the tarn we spotted gorse in full blossom, some bracket funghi and even a tame moorhen wading near the edge.
