Last weekend we spent a very enjoyable few hours at York Book Fair.
York is one of our favourite book fairs. There are so many stalls, and many of our bookseller friends, from all over the UK, attend this Fair. This makes it an excellent time to catch up with friends and news in the café.
York, I think, is the largest antiquarian book fair in the country, so we had an excellent selection of books to tempt us. We were very measured! We have bought a lot of books recently and are in danger of having "book indigestion". Book indigestion is a complaint only experienced by serious book collectors!
Our favourite purchase was Alexander Campbell's A Journey from Edinburgh through Parts of North Britain. A very handsome two volume leather bound set with numerous engravings.
