This year's Apple Weekend at Beetham Nurseries was lovely. There were apples galore, so many different varieties, that we found it difficult to make a selection. We decided to buy some apples for an apple crumble as well as some eating apples. We always enjoy Egremont Russets, Beauty of Bath and Blenheim Orange, amongst others.
As well as apples, there were fruit and apple trees, fruit pressing and Kendal Farmers Market offering some of the most delicious, local artisan produce that Cumbria has to offer. We bought some cheese, wild mushrooms and a really interesting mushroom chutney.
