Gorton Monastery in Greater Manchester was a curious venue for a book fair. Although we first heard of the monastery when our friend Bernadette intriguingly told us she’d been to see a Meat Loaf tribute perform there!
The Victorian monastery was designed by Pugin and its interior is simply stunning, although I think there are too many purple LEDs around the place.
