Today we spent a beautiful day in the Lakes. The weather was cold - about 3 degrees - and bright, with the low Sun casting a warm light over the landscape.
We started at Wray Castle, overlooking Windermere. We stopped off at Joey's Café and enjoyed delicious vegan soup to warm us up before setting off for a lovely walk along the lake shore. After a couple of hours we were ready for a return visit to Joey's for a warming coffee and cake.
The autumn is definitely the best time of year for a walk in the Lakes. If only every day could have weather like this...
