On Saturday, we were so pleased to pop up to the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, for a performance of Richard Sheridan's wonderful play, The School for Scandal.
The School for Scandal is one of my favourite plays, it's such a gloriously, gossipy romp, full of rumour, backbiting and hypocrisy. The Theatre by the Lake's production was performed by Tilted Wig and Malvern Theatre, and they were simply fabulous. For over two hours, we wallowed in the delights of Eighteenth Century society, as scandals unfolded, characters were destroyed and hypocrisy exposed.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and left the theatre exhilarated and, somewhat, scandalised. What a wonderful evening!
