So, after a quick dash up the M6, we enjoyed our final theatrical treat of the weekend.
By this time we were feeling a bit overwhelmed with theatre, but Hotbuckle's Pride and Prejudice seemed to be a fairly easy end to a weekend of performances. Like a light sorbet at the end of a heavy meal!
We saw Hotbuckle Productions last year, at the Heron Theatre, and were very impressed with their production of Sense and Sensibility.
Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice was delivered with the same vim and vigour. It was absolutely delightful. There are only three actors, but they filled the stage and delivered the story very well.
Lizzie Bennett was played by one of the three actors, the other two actors played all the other parts very convincingly, with lightning quick costume changes.
We've thoroughly enjoyed our weekend of theatrical treats, but now it's time to have a rest for a while, but not too long, I think!
