Last weekend we popped to Brockholes Nature Reserve for a PBFA Bookfair. As much as we enjoy browsing round a bookfair, our main reason was to explore Brockholes.
Even though we pass this Nature Reserve almost everyday on our journey up and down the M6, we've only been once in many years. The first thing that struck us was how pre-historic the buildings looked. Almost like an early Anglo-Saxon settlement.
We enjoyed this visit, there are lots of interesting birds and wildlife, in addition to lots of books! We didn't see anything spectacular - books or birds, but did spend an interesting couple of hours mooching around.
We're pleased that we've visited Brockholes, but think that we definitely prefer our local Leighton Moss Nature Reserve.
