The weather was lovely on Friday so we were pleased that we'd planned a trip up to Hutton in the Forest for Potfest 2024.
Our annual Potfest has become something of a tradition. We're always joined by a friend, who also loves pottery and ceramics, and together we enjoy a few hours strolling round the grounds of Hutton in the Forest. There is always a splendid array of everything connected with pottery and ceramics from mugs to massive statues. This year we were spoiled for choice, although some of the prices were a bit eye watering! We bought some beautiful serving dishes, a jug and bowl and, of course, a mermaid for the garden!
We enjoyed coffee and lunch sat in the sunshine admiring the beautiful Hall, and had a splendid time. As the traffic on the M6 was awful, we decided to travel home over Kirkstone Pass. This, of course, led to a visit to Verey Books in Pooley Bridge. Well, why not!
