Lassay-les-Châteaux

We returned to Normandy, spending a week or so exploring some beautiful places. Lassay-les-Châteaux is a little town we have been to before, so-called because it has three châteaux. We had visited two of them before, but on this trip we also went to find the third.

The largest château, Château de Lassay, is in the centre of the town and despite being over 500 years old is in fairly good repair and lived in by the current owners.

The second is the 15th century Château du Bois Thibault, a ruined castle just outside the town.

But for us the prize on this trip was the third, the ruins of Château Bois Frou, which we had not seen before.
