We were lucky with the weather when we spent a night in Rye’s Mermaid Inn. We were able to wander around the medieval cobbled streets, enjoying the dry, warm weather.
For our overnight stay we had booked the Elizabethan Bedchamber, in which Elizabeth I had stayed in 1573.
