After a delicious lunch at Lowther Castle, and a walk through the grounds, we decided to pop down to Pooley Bridge and visit the most excellent Verey Books.
Verey Books isn't very large, but it always has a very well-curated and interesting selection of books.
We spent a very enjoyable hour wandering around and choosing some of the newly published books on display.
